Where can my child take art classes in Lagos?
KidzPaint runs instructor-led art sessions at venues across Victoria Island, Lekki, Ikoyi, Ikate, Lakowe and Ikeja, and at your own home anywhere in Lagos. Every venue on this page is listed with its area and per-child price.
Are the classes one-off or ongoing?
Both. You can book a single session at any venue, or join an ongoing programme: Saturdays Club at The Side Bar in Lekki, Comic Club at Alali Studio in Victoria Island, KidzPaint Club, Roots and Rhymes afterschool, and holiday camps.
What do the classes cover?
Canvas painting, watercolour, drawing and sketching, textured art, pottery, candle making, tie dye, tote bag painting, jewellery making, paper mache, hand casting and cake decoration. Each venue lists the formats it can run.
What ages do you teach?
Ages 2 to 15. Children aged 2 to 6 need a parent or caregiver present. From age 7 children can be dropped off.
Is there a teacher, or is it self-directed?
Every KidzPaint session is led by a teaching artist who takes the group through the work step by step. Materials, aprons and clean-up are handled by us.
Is there a free class?
Silent Book Club Jr. runs free every Sunday at 2PM, and Chess Hour runs free every Sunday at 3PM at Alali Studio in Victoria Island.
